George Turner

George was bought up on house music and has always been passionate about music from a very early age and always knew he wanted to be involved with music when he was older. He got his 1st pair of decks when he was about 12 or 13 not knowing how to use them but it wasn’t long before he figured out how to mix and found his addiction. George would spend all his Saturday job money on as many vinyls as he could buy and started off playing many different styles of music including house, garage, old skool and drum and bass but after an inspirational trip to Ibiza 10 years ago (and every year since) it’s definitely all about the house music for George. He still enjoys many different types of music but mainly sticks to house music in his sets. Even though George is mostly heard playing underground, deep and tech house these days he still enjoys some other genres of house music and techno.

George had his first experiences of getting the crowd going at local parties and was always the bloke that people would ask to do their party but as soon as he was old enough to be in the clubs he started sending off mixed tapes and cd’s to local clubs and was booked for his first gig on 25th June 2005 at Loop lounge in his home town Croydon which was croydon’s premier and only house venue at the time. He also sent off cd’s to competitions which led to winning sets at clubs including Egg in King Cross and the main room at SeOne alongside Brandon Block, Rob Blake, Jay C and Mr Arkoss. George won the set in Seone by sending in a mixed cd which was judged by the Seone team, Freedom 2Dance and Kriss Derang then picked out of the final 3 by Brandon block.

George then decided to put on his own nights in 2006 with good friend dj Fuller. These nights were called 4Play and took place at E Bar in South Croydon twice a month but after only a few months 4Play quickly outgrew the venue and needed a bigger one. 4Play found it’s new home at Loop Lounge and was given a monthly residency.

George also used to run another night at Loop called Housensual. George then started playing for other major promotions including Pukka Up, Ibiza Underground, Gifted, Plush Dafunk, Funkin You, Dirty Disclosure to name a few with past and present residencies including Connected, Nightowl, So Dirty, every Friday at Vintage bar and more.

Nowadays George can be found rocking clubs all over London and beyond playing for loads of different promotions and venues and has been fortunate enough to have played at most of London’s best venues and other amazing venues around England and Ibiza.
